Little Bentley Hall Gardens just outside Colchester said to be ‘One of the finest private gardens in East Anglia’, home to the Palmer-Tomkinson’s will open again after a 5 year break in June this year. It is a unique opportunity to visit and view the gardens, which include a Lake and ancient stew ponds which have
been extensively planted with water loving plants.
The show starts on Friday evening 31st May from 6.00pm-9.00pm when we have a Gala Preview Evening for 900 Invited guests, who will enjoy gin fizz, wine and canapes in the Garden. The Parachute Regiment Band will be Beating Retreat on the front lawn. Tickets can be obtained from the Website at £25 each.
The event is open to the Public on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 10am-5pm , the main attraction will be the gardens that garden enthusiasts flock to see these private gardens which are never open to the Public , the last time being in 2014 for this show . In addition there will be 4 Show Gardens up the Chelsea standards , a Children’s Garden Competition, an Art show and a silent auction running throughout the weekend. There will be over 50 Garden & Gift stalls, and hot & cold food available all weekend. Brass Bands will play all weekend. There will also be the famous Little Bentley Afternoon Tea Garden to enjoy.

Group Tickets for Clubs such as Gardening Clubs, WI and Rotary are now on Sale at a special entry price of £7 but must be purchased in advance via the website www.littlebentley.net
The event is run in aid of local charities. These include ABF the Soldiers Charity, Canine Partners, local church’s, Wix Young Farmers and Rotary & Lions Charities. The last show in 2014 raised over £85 000 for the charities and atrracted almost 10 000 visitors.
