The multi-million pound hidden gem in Norfolk

Learn more about the brand new resort which is revolutionising the Norfolk Holiday Experience

British holiday habits are changing. No longer is a bog standard caravan in the middle of a field with access to limited facilities acceptable. Instead, holiday makers are actively seeking out luxurious resorts which are comparable with standards which you would previously only find in an exclusive 5 star hotel reserved only for the select few.

UK Holiday Parks are being forced to up their game to accommodate this, and one company which is leading the revolution is Darwin Escapes who have just opened a luxurious new resort in Kings Lynn – Norfolk Woods Resort & Spa.

This is the 22nd holiday destination to be added to their ever growing portfolio which includes award winning locations such as Keswick Reach Lodge Retreat which has been named the Best Large Holiday Park in Britain at the Hoseasons Awards for the past two years running.

The group has aimed to replicate this offering with Norfolk Woods, which is the result of a multi-million pound regeneration of Pentney Caravan Park. Gone are the tired old caravans and limited facilities, and in their place come luxury hot tub lodges and extensive on-site offerings including a new heated indoor swimming pool, spa complex and a rustic style restaurant which is quickly building a reputation with foodies in the local area.

Instagram Interior Design Guru Gem Beeston was one of the first to stay in one of the impressive five bedroom lodges which are available to hire at the resort with three other couples. She commented:

“First impressions were really good. We loved the interior design.”

“The cinema room off the main bar area was pretty cool and the pool and spa area was impressive.”

Norfolk Woods is expected to bring a significant boost to the local economy, with 50 new jobs being created to accommodate the needs of holiday guests in eighty brand new lodges on-site which will be available to hire throughout the resorts 12 month open season.

An additional 38 lodges are being made available at Norfolk Woods for holiday home ownership, with lodge prices expected to range from £80,000 to £190,000 to reflect the standards which are being strived for. It is hoped that this will create a brand new vibrant community of affluent visitors to the region, which will no doubt prove a much needed boost to the many nearby visitor attractions and shopping districts.

Additional footfall is expected to be created by the on-site facilities which are being made available to those who are not Darwin Escapes customers staying at the resort.  This includes the state of the art Norfolk Woods gymnasium which is now offering a wide range of different gym membership packages to those in the local area.
