Merrivale Model Village

Merrivale Model Village is an award-winning site consisting of miniature gardens, building, villages and attractions. There is an additional exhibit which allows you to step back in time and visit the Merrivale old penny arcade. With a variety of slot machines dating from the twenties to the sixties, explore their mechanics and intricate designs whilst working out how the machines operate. Bags of old pennies to play with are available from the gift shop.
There is also a crazy golf course (game price is included in the price of admission). The raised course allows for views over the model village and is fun for the whole family. The model village has everything from theatres and churches to Morris dancers and mansions. After a day of sightseeing, the Merrivale tea rooms offer tea and coffee alongside homemade cakes as well as lunches and afternoon teas. Sea life Hunstanton offers a wide variety of different exhibits and places to visit including the seal hospital and recovery centre and penguin beach. With regular talks taking place each day, it is an amazing opportunity to learn more about SeaLife and how they need to be cared for. Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse

Perfect for all members of the family, explore the lives of those living at the time through the use of projections of staff and inmates who bring to life true stories of those who once lived there.
There is also a museum full of archives and stories as well as collections of items owned, used or made in Norfolk. As well as this, there is a recreation of a 1950s room to help illustrate the way in which a typical family would live. . If home life is not an area of interest, the engineering galleries house an array of steam engines and diesel engines that once helped with daily life. There is also a number of different gardens spread over the 50 acres of Norfolk countryside which are home to vegetable and herb gardens, wildlife and an orchard. BeWILDerwood is an award-winning activity centre in the forest and arguably one of the most magical family days out in Norfolk, bursting with fun, energy and activities. For individuals over the age of eight, Hilltop Outdoor Centre is a high adrenaline adventure, ideal for burning off energy and participating in new activities. With hundreds of ideas from climbing and abseiling, high ropes, super swings and a variety of night games, the activity park spreads out over 31 acres of woodland.
