Meet the newborns on the farm this February Half Term (check dates before going), 10am-4pm

Baylham Farm, Mill Lane, Baylham, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP6 8LG

Get up close and cuddle the newborn lambs at the farm. Some lucky visitors may even see a lamb be born! There’s also other hand-on experiences including pig and goat grooming and meeting the bunnies in the Bunny Barn.

Get hands on with history at Audley End House, 15-23 Feb, 11am-3pm

Attention! Right you ‘orrible lot, it’s training time. Become a Home Front hero and a super spy as you are put through your paces at Audley End. Fall into step and polish your shoes or it’ll be basic rations for you. Discover Audley’s wartime past with this hands on experience of soldiers on the front line in our Train the Troops sessions this half term.

Having been with family myself I can hand on heart say this is an affordable morning or afternoon out and you’ll spend the whole time laughing. Awesome Archaeology, 15 February, 11am-3pm

A chance for children to get their hands dirty as they become a daring archaeologist on a mini dig for the day. Re-create ancient faces by layering on plasticine onto their bones, and try out the GeoPhys kit to scan what lies under the ground. Discover hidden treasures and fantastic finds as you excavate the secrets of Wrest Park.

Dreams and Nightmares Exhibition, until 22 March

Let your children get creative with dreams and nightmares workshops inspired by the gallery’s latest exhibition. Don’t worry, they’re child friendly, no nightmares to take away from the activities!

Workshops start at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm and last one hour. The activities are aimed at 5 to 13 years old. Tickets must be purchased in advance at The Higgin’s reception.
