5 fun Christmas wreath workshops

Get festive with a wreath workshop in Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire 

This year is my first Christmas in my new home and of course I am currently deep in thought when it comes to how to decorate. My concerns are currently ranging from serious doubts on whether an adequate tree will fit in that corner…to where can I order some festive cushions from in time? I’m having fun! As I’m thinking what could make the final touches it hits me, I need a wreath.

Well we are in luck. It’s a growing trend to get creative by designing and making your very own. There are workshops available locally guaranteeing a great activity experience which is bound to get you in the Christmas spirit. Here are some of our favourites…

Audley End House & Gardens, Saffron Walden, Essex

Wreath making at the lovely 17thcentury house is taking place Thursday 13 & Friday 14December this year. Included in the adult price of £60 per head is creation of your wreath using the estates resources and a lunch. Sessions run from 10am-2pm. St Nicholas Chapel, King’s Lynn, Norfolk

Back by popular demand! Staff from Deb’s Florist will be there to show you how to foliage and decorate your very own wreath using fresh pine, ivy, holly and traditional Christmas flourishes. The very friendly classes are paced to individual needs with endless guidance.

Workshops are delivered with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund. Enjoy the high quality classes at a very low price of just £10 per person, which includes festive refreshments.Again, booking is essential as places are limited. Oh and bring some secateurs with you! The Wallflower & Wallace, Heydon, Norfolk

The Wallflower & Wallace are set to be running a series of festive workshops this year. Wreath workshops are taking place on 10 & 11 December where you can join Karen Wheeler for the festive mayhem or try the rustic wreath workshop on the 18 December! No previous floristry experience is needed and you’ll be walking away with your handmade masterpiece, consisting of seasonal foliage and a variety of other materials. Feather and Ferns

The ladies are back! After a successful floral crown workshop earlier this year, Feather & Ferns return this time with festive opportunities. There are two sessions on Saturday 1 December and a Christmas table centre workshop on the 16 December, taking place at the beautiful wilderness surroundings of PAUS  in Bourn. For £45 per head including materials and refreshments, here you can create a special piece in a relaxed and informal workshop.
