Family summer staycation activities in Norwich

Day One
Pick up takeaway coffees and great locally made cakes at Bread Source in Upper St Giles and head to Chapelfield Gardens to eat in the park whilst the children play on the play equipment.
Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery is the perfect place for children to learn and explore. Entry cost £3 per adult and £1.50 per child. Some areas are closed for building work but there is still plenty to enjoy.
Wander over to Norwich Market to choose your lunch from around the world then take it to the war memorial gardens to eat.
Then take the short walk to Cafe Gelato on Opie Street to choose from some of the most delicious and authentic ice-creams and sorbet outside of Italy at this small café in the heart of the Norwich Lanes on Opie Street.

Day Two
Take a Myrtle Fish boat trip to Whitlingham Country Park. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the gardens of Norwich cathedral with a visit inside and a walk by the river. If you visit between 13 July – 30 Oct you’ll see the Dippy On Tour, which is free to visit. Spend the afternoon taking the 20 T.Rex GoGo Discover sculpture trail dipping in at any of the participating eateries in the City Food Trail offering dino inspired delights.
If you get time, visit to the Museum of Norwich at The Bridewell, and enjoy dinner at The Waffle House.
Day Three
Have fun with the self-guided City Escape Game around Norwich. During the afternoon visit the free Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts & Sculpture Garden before heading to dinner at The Giggling Squid. After dinner practice your aim with a game of Crazy Golf at Eaton Park.

Day Four
Get a better of Norwich with a hop on and off City Sightseeing open topped bus tour.
Enjoy a late picnic lunch at Plantation Garden followed by the play area run around at Chapelfield Gardens.
For evening entertainment book retro bowling and dinner at Bowling House.
