Does your dog deserve 5-star luxury? Head to The Grove in Hertfordshire with your furry friend for a weekend of pooch pampering. There’s plenty of space for walks around the 300 acres on site and the hotel can easily arrange a pet-sitter if you want to head over to the Sequoia Spa or one of their restaurants.

Blakeney Hotel based on The Quay in Blakeney is happy to welcome furry friends with their human companions. This 4 star AA hotel is located next to the seaside, and the lounge offers superb views towards Blakeney point, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. This traditional hotel allows dogs both in the main house and the Granary Annexe. There’s a large garden for them to run around in and on request, the chef can whip up a meal for your dog.

Hotel Felix in Cambridge is a four-star boutique hotel set in a traditional Victoria villa. Set in its own extensive grounds on the outskirts of Cambridge, it’s a great base to explore Cambridge with your dog. Head into the city or enjoy a walk through the local countryside. Sausages and dog treats are provided for your furry friend and they are welcome to dine with you in The Orangery or The Garden Terrace. Visit www.hotelfelix.co.uk for more information and to book.

Hotel Felix

The beautiful Tuddenham Mill is found in Tuddenham, between Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge and happily welcomes your best friend to stay in either their Mill Stream or Watermeadow rooms for only a £15 supplement fee. The sympathetically refurbished watermill is chic, yet retains its history. Also, well known for its great food and wine, why not pop down to the restaurant and leave your furry friend to relax after a long walk in the Suffolk countryside.

The boutique hotel, The Maison Talbooth, based in Colchester is not only a beautiful hotel with only 12 rooms in a 19th century modernised house, but it also welcomes dogs. Enjoy views over the Dedham Vale and Constable country, lush lawns for your pooch to enjoy and an outside heated pool (for humans only). Call ahead to let them know you’ll be bringing your furry best friend before booking, as this may decide the room you choose. Visit www.milsomhotels.com/maison-talbooth to book.

Flitwick House

Flitwick Manor in Bedfordshire welcome furry visitors in six of their 18 rooms. Your dog will also enjoy a welcome pack including dog treats, a paw mat with bowl and even their own towel. Take your dog to explore the four acres of grounds, wander through a walled garden, an arboretum and a lake along with a grass-topped grotto bridge.
