Pick the perfect hotel for your stay in Cambridge.

Cambridge has the edge when it comes to beauty, history and culture. Famed for its university, it’s one of the UK’s best loved destinations for a city break. We’ve picked the best hotels for your stay with an option for all budgets.

Fellows House

The Fellows House

Part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, the hotel opened earlier this year. It became an instant hit with tourists and residents, thanks to its chic café, stylish restaurant, indoor pool and apartment style rooms. A great location for exploring the city, the hotel is a short walk from Jesus Green and the River Cam. Throughout the hotel sculptures stand tall and the walls are adorned by original artwork playing homage to Cambridge fellows such as Kipling, Newton, Gormley and Attenborough.

Featuring 131 rooms, the apartment style studios and duplex split-level apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for families, relocation or extended work trips. Sip cocktails at the bar, dine at open plan Folio Kitchen and unwind in the courtyard complete with a fireplace and big screen. Check out our full review here.

Price: Rooms start from £170 per night for 2 people staying in a Kipling King room on a B&B basis.

Turing Locke

Turing Locke

A newly opened aparthotel that prides itself on its sustainable credentials, Turing Locke is one of the newest editions to Cambridge’s hotel scene. Named after the revolutionary computer scientist Alan Turing, it combines avant-garde and mid-century design, think dreamy hues of soft pink and sage green. The trendy 180 apartments are perfect for short and extended breaks and working visits – guests are welcome to use the complimentary co-working area.

In the atrium guests will find KOTA. From the team behind NOVI, the trend-led eatery serves up boozy brunches, botanical cocktails, daytime dining and a chargrilled evening menu. There’s no shortage of beverages here, Dutch, a second site for the owners of 196 Cocktail Bar on Mill Road, serves a range of cocktails and small plates.

Price: Room rates at Turing Locke start from £120 per night.

Sharing the development space with Turing Locke, the 150-room Hyatt Centric Cambridge is the first opening of the Hyatt Centric lifestyle brand in the UK. Ideal for short breaks and overnight stays, guests can take advantage of the restaurant, cocktail bar, co-working space and gym. After a day of exploring the city, head to the rooftop terrace and kick back with a drink while you soak up the sunset over the skyline.

University Arms

The University Arms

A Cambridge institution, the University Arms Hotel is located in the city centre, on the edge of Parker’s Piece. Its grand façade and ornate and inviting interiors are thanks to renowned architect John Simpson and interior designer Martin Brudnizki. Luxury flows throughout – immaculate design with wooden doorways, shiny brass, historic fireplaces and buttery tan leather.

Rooms are comfortable and plush, but for an extra indulgence check-in to a suite with a terrace overlooking the park and free-standing bathtub. Parker’s Tavern, the hotel’s restaurant, is headed up by chef director Tristian Welch, who alongside a talented team, serve up British classics with an innovative twist.

Price:  Room rates University Arms from £159 per room per night. Suites start from £419.
