A new spa is set open in Cambridge at the Gonville Hotel

Cambridge is set to blossom this summer, with the launch of a luxury wellness retreat this June.

Located within the grounds of the four-star Gonville Hotel, and adjacent to Parker’s Piece, Gresham House Wellness is inspired by the blossoming gardens and surrounding parklands. It will house three wellness treatment rooms and eight feature bedrooms, taking guests through a full sensory journey with botanical scents and sounds of nature echoing throughout.

The comprehensive spa menu has been crafted in partnership with the skincare brand ESPA which will provide all natural skincare and luxurious beauty products. It will include everything from Optimal Skin Pro Facials, to Holistic Total Body Ritual Massages with Hot Stones, Advanced Body Cocoons and Jessica Nail Treatments.  Ahead of the ESPA ‘For You’ Facial the highly-trained beauty therapists will perform a skin analysis with a special SkinVision lamp, allowing them to select the right products to compliment a guest’s individual needs.

Gresham House Wellness will offer a mindfulness massage range, featuring breathing and visualisation techniques to reduce stress, and enhance emotional and physical wellbeing.

Guests can extend their spa retreat and escape from reality, with an overnight stay in one of the new feature bedrooms. Designed to exude botanical characteristics, each room has been named after a Latin flower, including the ‘Rosa,’ ‘Lavandula’ and ‘Delphinium.’

Considerable care has gone into restoring Gresham House, a 180-year-old Victorian Villa, which sits within Central Cambridge Conservation Area. As a building of ‘special architectural or historic interest’, Gonville Hotel has worked closely with restoration experts to ensure it retains its period charm, with the original French windows, and etched-glass work still intact.

Guests staying at Gresham House Wellness, will also be able to take advantage of the facilities already on offer at Gonville Hotel, including the relaxed Atrium Brasserie, and fine dining Cotto Restaurant.
