Explore the Essex coastline with a trip to Leigh-on-Sea, with its popular seafront restuarants and cockle sheds and nearby Westcliff.

A short distance from the lively coastline of Southend-on-Sea is the much more subdued town’s of Westcliff and Leigh-on-Sea. Each offers a delightful mix of traditional seaside amenities, sandy walks and eateries.

At low tide Westcliff Beach offers lovely walks along the surf. Nearby you’ll find the renowned Rossi ice cream emporium, a favourite with residents and local celebrities. A relatively quiet part of the coastline, Westcliff is a great place to stop for a light bite al fresco style and watch the world go by. For something a little livelier head to the Genting Club Casino at Cliffs Pavilion for live entertainment year round.

There is also an award-winning beach for those looking to relax on the sand.

Travel slightly inland and you’ll discover Leigh Broadway, which boasts a range of high quality independent shops and boutiques that reflect the personality of Leigh itself. There are also a number of quality restaurants and bars within the area.
