Cinderella comes to Civic Theatre

Visit the Continental Street Market

Bond Street, Chelmsford’s stylish shopping area, hosts a Continental Market for one special day on 25 November. There’ll be stalls selling homeware and art, Italian nibbles and Gluwein, with entertainment, Santa and more. Opening at 9am until 6pm with official opening by the Mayor of Chelmsford at 10am, the event is being run by Chelmsford City Council with Mencap, supporting local charities.

Grab your glass slippers and ball gown, Cinderella, the fairy godmother of pantomimes, is coming to Chelmsford’s Civic Theatre from Friday 30 November 2018 to Sunday 6 January 2019.

Cinderella will be played by new star, Caitlin Rutter and they’ll be a special appearance from two Shetland ponies harnessed to Cinderella’s sparkling coach. You’ll be guaranteed a show filled with fun, songs and magic!

Feel fantastic at Hylands Estate Christmas Frost Fair

This wonderful new Christmas fair has over 120 exhibitors showing original crafts and gifts, plus fine foods direct from local suppliers. Dressed as a traditional frost fair, local entertainers will perform through the day, plus Father Christmas is on hand to collect the all-important lists! Come see the Chelmsford Lights

Much more than a light switch on, on Sunday 18 November there’ll be a whole afternoon of entertainment taking place in the high street with music on the main stage, walkabout acts, festive face painting and, after the switch on at 5pm, a fireworks finale. The shops will be open for you to browse and refreshments available.
