One of the biggest festive shows in the country, this is the ultimate Christmas experience in Norfolk for both adults and children. It’s a non-stop singing, dancing, music, humour and variety show. A constant stream of infectious entertainment with famous chart toppers performed alongside traditional carols. There won’t be a dull moment right up to the grand finale of fly over white doves across the auditorium. There will be over 65 stalls showcasing an impressive selection of quality Christmas gifts ranging from local food and drink, clothing, crafts, beauty and more. The scene is set with a 15ft Christmas tree and log fire at the entrance hall.

Dick Whittington And His Wonderful Cat, 30 November – 1 January

A fun family pantomime! Dick Whittington’s heading to town to seek his fortune – he’s heard the streets are paved with gold. But when he gets there, it’s hard to see the gold beneath the grime and King Rat is out to get him! And that’s just the start of his adventures. With his trusty cat in tow and pirate ships on the horizon, Dick’s going to need a little help from you if he’s going to win the day.

Soak up the atmosphere at Blickling Estate this Christmas, with the beautiful tree lined drive, decorated house, garden of lights, festive gifts and tempting treats. Explore 400 years of Blickling history as you wander through rooms full of festive splendour, from 1620 through to the glitz and glamour of the 1920s and beyond. Head out into the garden and discover the spectacle of lights as you take an enchanting winter stroll.

Don’t miss the view of the lights on Temple Walk with the fountain and acorns lit up on the Parterre – the perfect spot for a photo! Warm up with mulled wine and a mince pie as you discover the West Garden surrounded by firefly lights, then head inside for a spot of Christmas shopping.

Wells Christmas Tide, 30 November

Wells Quay

The fun starts on the 29 November with a traditional Christmas tree festival, which will be available to admire until the 1 December. On 30 November the town will come alive with live music, festive entertainment and gift stalls. The lights will be switched on at 5pm, followed by a parade. Santa will sail into the Quay at round 6.30pm, and the festivities conclude with a fireworks display shortly after.

A popular Christmas market on the Norfolk Coast. Wrap up warm and browse over 130 stalls filled with festive goodies, crafts, homewares and tasty treats. The market has a traditional atmosphere with wooden chalets, Christmas cheer and music.

Dinosaur-themed Winter Wonderland, 30 November – 1 December, 7 – 8, 14 – 15 and 19 – 24 December

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, Lenwade, Norwich NR9 5JW

A dinosaur-themed winter wonderland will arrive at the park on Saturday 30 November. Children can stumble across the magical world of Narnia through C.S. Lewis’ enchanted wardrobe in the Lost World Maze, as well as discover creatures through the festive-themed Dinosaur Trail, filled with hidden candy canes. Christmas arts and crafts will be available for children to take part in and make decorations and cards to take home for family and friends.

Families can step into an enchanted grotto to visit Father Christmas, where Dippy and his little helpers will be on hand to give out gifts. An additional £6.95 will be charged to meet Father Christmas in his grotto, which includes a special gift from Dippy and all the crew at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure.

Until 31 January 2020, online tickets to the park will be £9.95, while guests under 90cm remain free. Tickets bought at the admissions gate will also be reduced, from £13.95 to £10.95.

Christmas is a time for crafts, and what better way to put a homemade touch to your décor than by making a wreath? Jo Thomas from Constance Rose Florists will be helping visitors create their own festive wreath using greenery from Holkham’s parkland. Tickets are £55 per adult and includes all materials you’ll need, a mince pie, mulled wine and car parking. You don’t have to be an expert, the workshop is suitable for beginners. Don’t forget to bring a pair of light gardening and gloves and secateurs if you would like to use your own.

Global Village Christmas Market, 5-7 December, 10am-5pm

A mix of fine traders, illustrators and makers will be selling beautiful gifts from around the world. There’s lots of festive fun including carols and brass bands, accompanied by a variety of food stalls; German bratwurst BBQ and Glühwein, mulled cider, Italian coffee and pizza and more!

The Hoste of music presents ‘Jazz at The Movies’, 6 December

This December, end the week in style with a decadent three-course meal and superb musical entertainment with a festive spin. ‘Jazz at The Movies’ has played at The Hoste for the past six years, putting their spin on decades of festive film tunes. This year they return with their swinging dance-along interpretations of Christmas classics including ‘Winter Wonderland’, ‘Baby its cold outside’, ‘Santa Claus is coming to town’ and many more. Arrive at 7pm and indulge in a special three-course meal. An all-inclusive meal and music ticket of £55pp can be booked in advance.

Back by popular demand, the Hippodrome plays host to one of Europe’s largest Christmas Shows. For the 18th year the ‘Christmas Spectacular’ will be showcasing international circus artistes, water spectacles with aerialists, fountains and synchronized swimmers alongside unmissable comedy. Go all out and opt for the VIP package, which includes; butler service, drinks, popcorn and a guided tour of the backstage museum.

Festive Cruise, 8-15 December

Get into the Christmas Spirit, and hop aboard the Queen of the Broads for a Festive Cruise! ‘The Tunnel of Light’ has become one of the most visited attractions at Christmas in Norwich, you don’t want to miss it. Marvel as the lights transport you to a place of wonder. At 45 metres long, 4 metres high and 6 metres wide, the tunnel is made from 50,000 pulsating LEDs with beautiful sequenced lights reflecting the patterns and colours of the Northern Lights. It’s quite a show and the place to get your seasonal selfie.

Christmas at Mannington, 14-15 December

There are lots of places to see Mr Claus himself during the festive period but this year Mannington Estate is hosting the Christmas Fairy with her Elf helper. They will be hiding in a special corner of the hall which is not normally open to visitors. The hall will be traditionally decorated, the gardens will be lit up and there will be Christmas activities, music and festive fayre. The event runs from 11am – 7pm with visits to the Fairy between 2-4pm. Entry is £5 or £8 on the day for adults, under 16’s are free but a visit to the Christmas Fairy is £5.
