Delicious food delivered to your doorstep in Cambridge

The best Cambridge delivery and takeaway services.

What a year it has been! 2020 started with one of the best holidays of my life revisiting Singapore and travelling through Malaysia. We had a fantastic time, but reality hit hard when we returned at the beginning of February.

Click It Local; operating in Cambridgeshire, a 20 mile radius from the city centre, customers can purchase from local shops and choose a delivery for as soon as the same-day!

My husband had to work from home for a week. People stayed avoiding us out of fear of infection. From here, it has been like a wildfire. When we were confronted with the outbreak of COVID-19 mid-January in Singapore, we changed the way we travelled and dined in straight away. Avoiding public transport and packed lifts and sanitiser always at hand. Once back home, we didn’t have the after-joy of our incredible journey. To keep the memory fresh in our minds, I cook Malaysian food at least twice per week!

So, we are amidst one of the biggest crisis’ in our lifetime and have been forced to adapt the way we live. Suddenly creativity is thriving, and the community is at the heart of our lives again. I use the word again as through the modern way of living, we forgot what is important. Indeed, the community! Living in lockdown is not easy, but difficult situations are often a catalyser for new beginnings.

Local businesses have changed the way they offer their services. Not out of luxury, it’s a survival game. Some have become so busy that they barely can cope with the huge demand. A big thank you to the amazing heroes in Cambridge taking care of the people at the front line and the people in need. Alex Collis, Prana Restaurant, Mark Poynton, the Cambridge Fruit Company and Taj Cambridge delivering or donating food to them.

Staying at home doesn’t have to mean that you can’t eat well. Most of your favourite restaurants were delivering food already. Some of the smaller indies local to Cambridge are delivering now too. Quite a few have a presence on Deliveroo, but due to the high demand, not all of them could join this facility.

Below a list of the indies, who have changed their services. Don’t forget to check out some of our favourites online such as Prana Cambridge, The Tiffin Truck, Pipasha, Nanna Mexico and Doppleganger Burger.
