Discover a brand new hen do experience

Bored of the same old hen do? There’s a new stylish activity popping up across the East of England

Some traditions stand strong. Kisses under the mistletoe, fireworks for bonfire night, throwing the wedding bouquet…but one of the most mandatory must be the celebration of leaving the single life behind forever – your hen or stag do.

Now drinking away the night on the town with your closest friends hasn’t exactly gone out of fashion. However, there seems to be a few more options these days. Don’t worry, you can still do that but consider some funky new alternatives. There are some great experiences about.

For instance, I may be making assumptions here, but Mum and Gran might not want to party on the town. If you want to include them or even just opt for a slightly more tame and ultra-classy activity I have a top pick; introducing Cakes & Crowns!

This is a brand new duo that have teamed up to bring you and your lucky chosen ones a hybrid experience. Becky of Feather and Ferns Floral Design and Jess of One Part Love Bakery have joined forces to give an on trend experience.

Your afternoon will consist of a wonderful afternoon tea to accompany a floral workshop. There are two options to choose from in the workshop. These are the making of a flower crown (Yay! Cameras at the ready) or a planted terrarium – ooh sophisticated!

Location wise you are able to choose from hosting the event in your own home, very sentimental, or visiting the Eagle Mill Country Boutique in St Ives. Is it me or do we have too many options here? We can safely say any variation of what is on offer would be lovely.

It is £65 per person and the girls are looking to take bookings now! Don’t miss out on the included scone station and pimp my Prosecco trolley! On departure each person is also presented with a box containing handmade chocolates, biscuits and meringues.

The experience can be held for a minimum of six and lasts for approximately three hours. And hey, if not a hen do, what about for a baby shower or birthday?

It’s not just pints and pubs, stag dos have had a make-over too. Throughout the region there are plenty of country pursuits for the boys to try their hand at. One of the top picks is the Suffolk Shooting School. They can arrange your accommodation, outdoor activities and nightlife to ensure a party that will not be forgotten.

You can select any combination of their outdoor activities to create the perfect fun day out. They offer quad biking, 4 x 4 off-road driving, clay shooting, target air-rifle shooting and archery.  All you need to do is turn up with your group and simply enjoy yourselves. Hens are allowed too!
