Crunchy leaves, pumpkins, fireworks, cosy knits and sipping red wine around a crackling fire…these are just a few of my favourite things about autumn. The season is changing and with it comes a delightful array of new things to do and discover across the region. It’s goodbye to lazy beach days and hello colourful countryside walks.
We’re swapping alfresco dining for classic village pubs with roaring fires and local ales, and let’s not forget the fantastic food offering autumn serves up. This issue is a celebration of the season ahead.
From weekend breaks and boutique hotels to heritage days out, foodie festivals and smash-hit theatre productions, we’ve got you covered.
Now don’t gasp in horror, but we have also started to find our Christmas spirit, after all you can never be too prepared for the big day. If you want to get ahead of the crowds and start your shopping early, check out our guide to festive light switch ons with late night shopping and a few early winter markets.
Now if you need me, I’ll be shopping in Cambridge browsing the new season fashion drops…
