A Summer Celebration
This issue of Eastlife is a big celebration. Not only do we announce the winners of our first-ever awards, we also feature The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and the events taking place across East Anglia to mark this momentous occasion.
Our summer diary dates feel celebratory too, as we look forward to the biggest line-ups for several years. The region’s favourite events are finally back and there’s a buzz of anticipation in the air. With the return of concerts, shows, country fairs, outdoor cinema, festivals and more – there’s plenty of summer fun for everyone.
As always, the Eastlife team has been enjoying every corner of our region, discovering the highlights which make each county unique. In this issue you’ll find a kayaking adventure on the Norfolk Broads, dog-friendly walks in Suffolk’s stunning settings, an eco-stay at Cambridge’s Turing Locke and an island-hopping trip along the Essex coastline. Meanwhile in Hertfordshire, we spend a sunny day in St Albans and highlight the county’s prettiest places for fresh-air food. And there’s no better time to head to Bedford; we give seven irresistible reasons to visit the buzzing county town this summer.
Wherever you are in our beautiful region, have fun!
