Enjoy a family day out at the Linslade Canal Festival

If you’re looking for a fun family day out full of colour, crafts and community spirit, make your way to Leighton Buzzard for the annual Linslade Canal Festival.

Taking place on Saturday 27 July at Tiddenfoot Waterside Park, in Linslade, the event promotes arts and crafts, life on the canal, conservation and heritage. Visitors will have the opportunity to browse the numerous handcraft and trade stalls offering an array of goods and gifts.

Walk along the towpath and you’ll find a large number of colourful trade boats selling their wares. It’s an interesting and quirky shopping opportunity! Rural craft demonstratorswill provide a visual insight into the traditional skills alongside a more modern mix of food stalls, craft exhibits and activities.

A programme of live music will set your toes a tapping with styles ranging folk to traditional drumming; grab a spot on the lawn and relax with a local ale from the bar.

Back by popular demand is the Fun Dog Show with classes and competitions. Throughout the day, a variety of food vendors will be on site offering a range of hot and cold food, from Thai, Jamaican, Curries, BBQ’s to savouries, cakes and ice-cream. The park offers plenty of space whether you choose a quiet corner to chill out and watch the world go by, picnic by the lakeside or enjoy the hustle bustle of the tow path; there is something for everyone.
