Independent family jewellers, Piggotts of Crown Street in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, has announced that it will close its doors for the final time, as long-term owners Michael and Linda Piggott plan to retire.
To herald the start of the store close-down the owners of Piggotts jewellers, have announced they are to hold a huge sale, which will see many thousands of pounds of fine jewellery, all available at up to 50% discount.
Said Linda: “The time has come for Michael and I to hang-up our loupes. We are launching our close down sale and offering our customers the chance to take home some fabulous bargains. It’s an opportunity for us to thank the customers who have supported us for so many years, by offering these fantastic reductions.”
Run by husband and wife team Michael and Linda Piggott, Piggotts opened in St Ives in 1984. Experienced diamond mounter Michael, trained in Hatton Garden and worked in London’s iconic luxury jewellers Asprey, before moving into the family jewellery business with his father. Joined by wife Linda, also a former Asprey employee, subsequently the couple relocated to St Ives to open their own store and have spent 33-years at the heart of the local community.
Renowned for their variety of high-quality jewellery and personal service, Piggotts will certainly by missed by the shoppers of St Ives and the surrounding areas.
Piggotts, St Ives closing-down sale commenced on Saturday 30 September and will run for a couple of months.
