For resplendent ice white sparkle, dress your home and festive table with white, silver and glass.   A timeless, stylish classic approach with sparkling highlights, frosty touches and lots of polished glass and crystal which will add to the festive atmosphere and celebrations, says Fenella Fairrie

Frosted foliage…

In my mind winter foliage with silver and snowy touches always looks beautiful be it floral arrangements in the house or a fabulous front door wreath.  So when I stumbled across this ‘ready to go oversized wreath’ from www.thewhitecompany.com, I couldn’t resist.  Faux flowers and leaves can be a definite no no but, in this case the ‘frosted’ leaves and snowberries are stunning, low maintenance and could be used year after year making it a good investment.  This large wreath (hanging ribbons supplied) makes a stunning centrepiece in a hallway or above the dining table or can be wall or door hung.  Embellish it as shown here with baubles, tiny lights or beaded garlands

O Christmas Tree!

As ever, at this time of year, I find myself being tantalised by an abundance of fabulous decorations. This year I have homed in on the gorgeous selection of Christmas decorations at the Snape Maltings House & Garden shop, www.snapemaltings.co.uk.  I particularly recommend these silver decorations available in varying shapes and textures.  Sticking to one colour, in this case silver, but varying the type and size will create visual interest with a stylish consistency.  Display on the tree, hang from the mantel, use to enhance floral decorations and wreaths, even hang on banisters and chair backs.  When planning, remember that generally less is more so do not go overboard to a tacky degree.  Equally, don’t hold back completely as Christmas does only come but once a year!

On icy reflection…

For added sparkle and reflection, place glasses on a silver tray, use mirrored coasters and place mats along with highly polished silver cutlery and napkin rings.  Place glass candle holders in the centre of the table scatter tiny baubles, shiny wrapped sweets or confetti around the bases for added sparkle.  Alternatively fill a glass bowl or a pretty glass cake stand with silver decorations for an eye catching centre piece.

A touch of frost on the table…

With the idea of shiny reflection in mind, how about these Snowflake Napkin Rings from John Lewis in Cambridge, www.johnlewis.com.  A snip at only £3.50 each and a timeless, lasting addition to your Christmas tableware collection.  The ornate silver snowflakes will certainly add some seasonal sparkle to your table.

Little stars so bright…

At this point, for the festive finale I cannot resist to include another magnificent Chandelier.  The sparkling elegance totally befits the festive celebrations and introduces a bedazzling air of decadence and entertainment.  The abundance of crystal droplets will create drama both by day and night.  I particularly love the Bernini Crystal Chandelier seen here and available from www.bella-figura.com.  Do visit the Suffolk showroom in Melton to view a wonderful array of lighting.

Winter Wonderland

These divine ice white deer which evoke wintery wonderment and magic, are bound to charm your friends and family.  Place on the mantel piece, side board or even the Dining table for elegant effect.  Finished in a smooth white matt resin and sold in pairs as shown, they are available from Essex based www.anangelatmytable.com for £29.50.
