With the start of British Summer Time it’s time to get out and about and where better to start than with a family Sunday walk finished with a trip to the pub? The trouble is with these kinds of trips is that we often want to take the whole family, including the family dog. So, in celebration of National Pet Month, here’s a quick guide to some of the friendliest dog-friendly pubs in Norfolk…

Enjoy a walk on the stunning beach at Wells then recharge at this great pub on the Quay. Dogs are welcome both inside and out. Plus there are free dog treats available at the bar!

The Orange Tree

Enjoy a stroll to Brancaster Bay, Thornham Beach or even nearby Brancaster Staithe harbour. Dog friendly, both inside and out, this stylish gastropub even has a doggy menu at the bar!

Try out the Walsingham circular walk for an excuse to see the wonderful Walsingham Priory. Dogs are welcomed with water bowls and treats either whilst you pop in for food or drink, or for an overnight stay.

After a relaxing walk along the picturesque River Chet, this is the perfect place to stop off for food or a drink. Dogs are welcomed in the bar area or outside in the courtyard garden with a fuss, water and treats.
