2 – 4 September, LODESTAR FESTIVAL

Now in its eighth year this family friendly festival features three days of live music from new talent and established acts. Taking place over 200 acres of fields whether you camp or go for the day, it’s just the ticket for the music loving festival goer. For tickets: www.lodestarfestival.com

10 September, DRAGON BOAT FESTIVAL

Come on down to the River Cam to watch this ancient Chinese tradition that sees teams battle it out in a boat race to raise funds for the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust. Join the hundreds of spectators cheering them on and enjoy a fun-packed day of delicious food and drink, enjoyable activities and rides for the little ones. For more info: www.dragonboatfestivals.co.uk

10-17 September, CHERRY HINTON FESTIVAL

The Cherry Hinton Village will be bustling with activity across the week with everything from a comedy night to a traditional duck race. The week concludes with a Festival Day at the Recreation Ground where you will be treated to fantastic live music, community performances and children’s entertainment. For more info: www.cherryhintonfestival.org

17-18 September, CAMBRIDGE FOOD GARDEN AND PRODUCE FESTIVAL

This hugely popular festival returns to Parkers Piece with last year’s Great British Bake Off Finalist Ian Cumming judging the baking entries, a must see for cake enthusiasts! Green-fingered Cambridge News Gardening Correspondent Colin Hambidge will be judging the fruit, vegetable and flower classes and you can also watch cookery demonstrations to inspire from chefs that include MasterChef contestant Ondine Hartgroves. For more info: www.oakleighfairs.co.uk/foodandgarden

 23-25 September, CAMBRIDGE CRAFT BEER AND CIDER FESTIVAL

Real ale lovers will not want to miss sampling an array of local, national and international craft beers and ciders. Taking place at the Cambridge Leisure Park with live music and the chance to meet the brewers, it’s the perfect opportunity to discover your new favourite tipple.
