The Perfect hideaway

The Hide Bar and Lounge is tucked away, right in the centre of the Georgian market town of Ampthill in Bedfordshire.

2b Woburn Street has been many things over the years and great care has been taken to restore many of the unique features of the building to add great character to your visit.

Now-a-days when you pay the Hide a visit you will experience a relaxed environment and unique ambience.

The Hide’s menu is full of great quality, locally sourced ingredients for freshly prepared dishes and, whilst not a restaurant, offers a little more‘shizazz’ than your normal lounge bar. All complemented with a great selection of wines, beers and spirits and awesomely brewed coffees.

During the day the Hide offers a simple, well presented menu from 9.00am for brekkie (10.00am on weekends) through to midday when lunch is served and you can enojy a fresh sandwich platter, jacket spud, a crisp, fresh salad or a toasted Ciabatta. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings they will prepare you a delicious nacho, cheese or meats platter. Quite uniquely, the Hide also bakes a selection of awesome cakes, daily (a must on every visit). Check out the menu at www.thehidelounge.com.

When visiting you must also keep an eye out for the specials boards where Mark, the Head Chef, rustles up exciting new dishes every day.

The Hide coffee is made from fresh beans on a beast of a coffee machine. If it were a car you would drive it every day with the roof down! Whether you’re after a full-bodied, ‘wake me up’ coffee or an indulgent ‘sweet n dreamy’ frothy coffee you’ll find something to tantalise the taste buds.

Working closely with their supply partners, the Hide has created a great selection of wines, spirits and beers from around the world. Meaning that whether you are chilling during the day or partying away the evening you’ll be sure to find something for every occasion, every taste, every mood and everyone.

Sam, Andrea and the team are looking forward to Hiding out with you.
