Over 100 artisan food and drink producers will exhibit at this foodie event. There will be a huge offering of delicious food and drink plus cookware and cooking accessories and demonstrations from well known chefs including ITV’s ‘Lorraine’s’ Dean Edwards. 18-21 May Great Yarmouth Beer & Cider Festival at St. George’s Theatre
St George’s Theatre, King Street, Great Yarmouth, NR30 2PG
Pop along and sample some of the 50 real ales, craft beers and ciders, with many coming from Norfolk & Suffolk’s growing number of micro brewers. 20-21 May, Crab and Lobster Festival, Cromer and Sheringham
A lively weekend celebration of two fine North Norfolk coastal towns, Cromer & Sheringham. The Crab and Lobster festival is dedicated to promoting the local seafaring heritage and active fishing community. There will be an opening concert with headliner Olly Day & Nigel Boy Syer, cookery theatre, kids activities, heritage demonstrations and more.
22-27 May, Cambridge Beer Festival, Jesus Green, Cambridge
First held in 1974, the festival has a long legacy. The festival features a wide range of local and national beers of all styles, as well as cider, perry, mead, wine and bottled & draught beers from around the world. The festival is also famous for its CAMRA Cheese Counter
25 May – 4 June, Norwich Ale Trail, Norwich
Norwich City of Ale is a 10-day celebration of local pubs, breweries and real ale taking place throughout the city. BBQs, live music and pub quizzes are among the festivities. Over 40 pubs take part in City of Ale, all offering local ales and running their own events and promotions throughout the celebration.
27-28 May Reepham Food Festival Town Centre, Reepham NR10 4
Taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend, Reepham’s first food festival will showcase the best local producers, events and entertainment. The annual feature in food lovers’ diaries promises to be bigger and better than ever. The highlight of the Festival is the very popular street market on Saturday 24 June when over 75 of the region’s finest independent food, drink and kitchenware producers fill the town’s Market Place and New Street, offering a chance to meet people who grow, raise, bake, brew, distil and make the range of treats on sale.
The 2017 Festival is sponsored by Hambleton Bakery and AGA Oundle who have recently opened shops at Oundle Wharf. 2-3 September North Norfolk Food and Drink Festival
Set in the beautiful gardens of Holkham Hall, the festival is now in its eighth year. It features an ever-growing team of local food and drink producers who grow, rear, produce, supply and sell food in North Norfolk. Stall holders offer their products for sale including fresh meat and game, vegetables, cakes, artisan beer, bread, tarts, juices, cakes and bakes, chocolates and much more. A dazzling array of concessions offer delicious food for eating on site and entertainment ranges from the ever popular cookery theatre to children’s activities and face painting.
