We pick our favourite dog-friendly pubs that are offering pooches more than just a bowl of water…
The Sir Garnet, Norwich
Overlooking the Market Square, the modern pub housed in a medieval building is a big fan of dogs. Not only is water and the occasional treat provided but dogs are given full roam of both the bar and restaurant area, meaning you can enjoy the meze style platters with your dog at your side.
The Wentworth Hotel, Aldeburgh
As well as pet-friendly rooms, the hotel is located on a mile stretch of pebbly beach that is dog friendly year round. From outside the hotel to Thorpeness, you’ll be able to enjoy long walks with your pet.
Hotel Felix, Cambridge
From enjoying the spacious grounds and elegant orangery to snoozing on the terrace and exploring nearby Girton College for walkies, Hotel Felix is one of the most stylish city getaways for you and your four-legged friend.
The Eight Bells, Saffron Walden
This warm and friendly pub is great for a pint with your pet pooch. Dogs are allowed in the bar area where water and a glass jar of delicious doggy biscuits is provided. The food is pretty good for us owners too!
Beach Café, Holkham
Ok it’s not a pub, but this is one place that must be visited during the summer with your dog. Last year it was voted the most dog-friendly café in the UK and even has its own K9 Club! There’s fresh water provided and some tasty treats for sale as well as its ‘wash’n’wag’ service, where you can wash off your dog after a run on the nearby beach.
