You don’t need us to tell you the Norfolk Broads are beautiful, but what you might not know is that beyond the boats and banks there is so much more fun to be had.

Considered the capital of the Broads, Wroxham is a great place to explore. However, if you have the family in tow head for Wroxham Barns. Here you’ll find everything children love; mini golf, train rides, giant slides, swings and fairground rides –hours of entertainment await. The Junior Farm will be a hit with all ages with opportunities to feed and pet the animals. There’s also shopping, arts and crafts for adults too!

Brewery Tours

A trip to Norfolk wouldn’t be complete without sampling the local tipple. Head to Woodforde’s Brewery, in Woodbastwick, and experience the crafting of its beers. You’ll be shown around the brewery, learn about the making process and get to sample a couple too! Tours last one hour and cost £12 per person.

Get arty

If you’re not up for painting a perfect picture of the Broads yourself, stop by one of the local art galleries where you can browse scenic work and talent from local artists. Visit The Studio Art Gallery and Tea Rooms in Acle, Riverside Art and Glass in Wroxham or for something a little different stop by Sutton Pottery; an open studio workshop where you can watch what’s going on or book a pottery lesson.


Get on your bike and pedal your way along the Broads cycle route. The Broads Authority has a network of bike hire operators available so there’s no need to squeeze your bike into the car. Wind your way around the country lanes and along the footpaths and enjoy one of the most scenic cycling routes in Britain.
