Fancy getting back to nature but don’t want to get your hands too dirty? Check out some of our favourite glamping hot spots in the region which will have you breathing in the fresh country air, while also indulging in the very best accommodation and resources.

Family friendly camping

Choose from the three fantastic options for glamping at Secret Meadows. With luxury lodge tents, traditional gypsy caravans or even a stay in the hobbit box, there’s something to suit everyone. All set in a nature reserve and surrounded by beautiful Suffolk countryside, this is a great place to relax. With little extras such as hot tubs, breakfast hampers and private hen coops, this is a great glamping site for families and couples alike.

Cosy for couples

The Secret Garden is an Eco glamping site, just a stone’s throw from Cambridge and features a beautiful ‘hobbit hole’ with a luxurious king size bed and fairy lights, a covered camp kitchen and dining area, a herb garden and circular firepit. Relax in the woodland spa area with a private wood fi red hot tub and compost toilet. A great base for exploring the local area.

Best for history lovers

Enjoy a stay surrounded by history in the grounds of Layer Marney Tower. Choose from one of the six tented encampments named after one of the wives of Henry VIII. Each encampment has a main tent which can sleep up to six people in their own beds with a toilet, running water and lights. Three of the encampments even have their own hot tub to enjoy.

Dog friendly campsites

Thompson Hall Retreat in Norfolk has beautiful shepherd’s huts nestled amongst the trees and with views across the Norfolk Wild Life Trust properties. Dog friendly, these huts can host two people along with a furry friend or two. All Shepherd’s huts have a luxury king size bed, kitchen facilities, private bathrooms and a private veranda with a gas fire pit, to enjoy in the evening.

Budget campsites

From only £27 a night, enjoy a stay at Theobalds Park Ready Camp in Hertfordshire. The Ready Camp tents offer a great balance between outdoor and contemporary living. With everything you need for your stay including stylish features, full size beds, sofas and dining facilities…along with a fully stocked crockery cupboard, you don’t need to worry about bringing anything with you. Simply bring along your own bedding and essentials to get started.
