The Felixstowe Book Festival has become a highlight within East Anglia. Each year, the programme is filled to the brim with fiction, non-fiction, politics and history alongside a host of authors and music popping up along the way.
Founded over 60 years ago, the festival is about bringing the community together, with music, events, a fun fair and fireworks. This year’s theme is ‘Decades of the 20th Century’. Get set for music from the roaring 20s, psychedelic 60s, powerful 80s and beyond.
Held from the Pier to the Spa Pavilion theatre, over 100 artists from East Anglia who work in a variety of mediums from painting, ceramics, glass, photography and textiles, display and sell their original artwork to passersby. There are free art activity tents led by local artists offering children and adults the chance to have a go at collage, willow weaving, print making and more.
