Essex Climate Awareness Train

The Essex Climate Action Commission and Essex County Council have partnered with Essex & South Suffolk Community Rail Partnership and Greater Anglia to inspire the next generation of environment enthusiasts with their first ever Climate Awareness Train.
Open to all ages, the Climate Awareness Train is aimed at helping families understand climate change and ignite an enjoyment for protecting our planet.
On Sunday 22 May, International Biological Diversity Day, the Climate Awareness Train will depart at 10:06am from Wickford Station where attendees will be provided with a fun-filled activity pack to enjoy on the journey, before arriving at North Fambridge Station at 10:20am.
On arrival at North Fambridge Station, attendees will be met for an exciting and informative guided walk through the Blue House Farm Nature Reserve and around the sea wall.
The 1-hour easy levelled walk will finish at North Fambridge Village Hall for tea, coffee and cake. On display at the village hall will be an information booth from the Essex Climate Action Commission with insight into how we can tackle climate change together.
In support of the Climate Awareness Train, the Essex Forest Initiative has pledged to plant a tree for every ticket purchased to the event.
Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children and can be purchased through the Greater Anglia website.
