THE INTERGALACTIC HANSEATIC LEAGUE

THE INTERGALACTIC HANSEATIC LEAGUE  (the IHL) is a sci-fi, time-travel adventure taking place across King’s Lynn town centre & online from 01–17 October 2021. It tells the story of the IHL crew who arrive from 23rd-century King’s Lynn – now a thriving Earthport – to find out what the citizens of King’s Lynn did in 2021 to activate the MINDSHIFT that saved humanity from climate change. Watch the project trailer & find out more at www.the-ihl.com.
Experience the project –

  • Strange transmissions from the crew of the IHL Discovery – lead by the Captain (aka Kate Dickie) –  are appearing in King’s Lynn’s cinemas before the main features, on tv screens in shops and on social media.
  • Take part in the IHL Challenge on TikTok
  • Kids – become an AGENT OF CHANGE using our resource pack to develop your designs for the future to help solve climate change
  • Visit the IHL PORTALS
    • The AGENTS OF CHANGE exhibition in the Old Argos windows shares the artwork of the 570 children who became Agents of Change for the project, with their designs addressing sustainable future living. Share your designs on social media #theIHLKL  /  #whatisthemindshift
    • After dark, visitors can see more of the AGENTS OF CHANGE work projected onto the Corn Exchange, and visit the four other projection sites to find out more about the IHL and their story. They are Greyfriars Tower, King’s Lynn Minster, The Custom House, and St Nicholas’ Chapel.  There’s a full site map on the project website.
    • At Greyfriars Tower, play the MESSAGE IN A SHUTTLE game to send messages into ‘space’ written by the town’s primary school children, then interact with the INTERGALACTIC SYNTHESIZER on the pergolas to activate the Musical Mysterium.
