The quintessential moated manor house was built in 1482 and is still owned by the Bedingfield family. The rooms show the change from medieval austerity to Victorian comfort and houses a display of embroidery done by Mary Queen of Scotts during her captivity. Outside there are beautiful gardens and attractive woodland walks.
