Programme Verdi Requiem Performers Woodbridge Choral Society Kingfisher Sinfonia Andrew Leach conductor Woodbridge Choral Society presents this dramatic Requiem accompanied by the Kingfisher Sinfonia and four soloists. The Requiem is not a religious work in the conventional sense. It has been described as ‘an opera in church vestments’. The work was intended for a concert hall rather than a church and Snape Maltings is a superb and iconic venue for this exciting setting of the Last Judgement.
